Background

The 2025 Oregon Education Accountability Act (Sections 24 and 25) require districts and public charter schools to:

1. Select Interim Test option(s) from list adopted by the State Board of Education
2. Administer Interim Tests for language arts and math 3 times per year in grades K-8
3. Review Interim Test data at least 3 times per year with administrators from each school and during a public meeting for the superintendent and, if applicable the governing body of public charter schools.

A number of in-person and virtual Interim Test vendor demonstrations are being held across the state in an effort to support districts and public charter schools with making an informed decision.
