Implementing MTSS at the Secondary Level

MTSS is a proactive and preventative framework that uses data to maximize student achievement and support student social, emotional, and behavior needs. This framework can be implemented across K-12, but there are some key differences between MTSS at the elementary and secondary levels. Come join us to hear about considerations for implementing MTSS in secondary schools, including how to approach scheduling, screening, teaming, and providing interventions.

Objectives:

  1. Provide an overview of MTSS at the secondary level.
  2. Explore considerations for implementing MTSS at the secondary level for scheduling, collecting and using data, and providing interventions.
  3. Share resources to help guide secondary MTSS implementation.

We are excited to invite you to join us for the launch of the IXL Innovative Leaders learning community within the Intermountain ESD. As a current IXL partner, we’re confident that you’ve seen the ways in which IXL can impact students, teachers, and parents in your district. It’s our hope that this new group will allow educators from diverse backgrounds to come together to share insights, strategies, and success stories in harnessing the full potential of IXL.

Goals/Outcomes for the group:

  1. Develop connections between districts using IXL to generate new ideas and accelerate learning gains for students
