Administrator Learning Walk

Join us for a day of walking through classrooms in Union County. We will discuss look-fors, data collection ideas, feedback routines for teachers, all while keeping an instructional focus. It's a collaboration event with other leaders to share high-leverage practices while observing teaching.

9:00 - 9:30 OVERVIEW of the day- at North Powder Schools

1. Introductions
2. Debrief the day
3. Discuss the look-fors and process while in classrooms
4. Discuss the talking points, giving feedback, collecting documentation
5. Leave notes for school and staff

9:30 - 10:30 Classroom visits: North Powder Schools (Middle and High school classrooms)

1. Quick overview about the school from the principal (10 mins)
2. Room assignments- where do you suggest we visit? (need about 6 classrooms)
3. Observe (about 10-15 mins per classroom- each admin group visits 2 classrooms)
4. Back to meeting space to debrief (20 mins)

10:30 -11:00 Travel to Greenwood Elementary in LaGrande

11:00 - 12:00 Classroom visits: Greenwood Elementary School- Maddie Koenig

4. Back to meeting space to debrief (20 mins)

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch in LaGrande

1:00 - 1:15 travel to Island City

1:30 - 2:15 Island City Elementary- Brett Smith
